Ironbridge is surrounded by lovely Shropshire countryside, dominated by the nearby Wrekin, Shropshire's highest hill. From its summit there are views over much of the county and to the North the contrasting landscape of the Shropshire plain.
Adjoining Ironbridge is the former New Town of Telford Town which offers an excellent range of shopping and recreational facilities together with a railway station.
