We love living so close to the river, walking 10 minutes in one direction you feel like you’re right in the countryside and in the other direction you’re right in the heart of St George. On a Saturday we love to walk up through Troopers Hill to get a pastry at The Orchard or breakfast at Loaf. The Dark Horse is our favourite spot for a pint or the Red Church for a pizza, both just a short walk away. In the summer it really comes into its own, having Troopers Hill, the river and Dundridge Park all on our door step.
Avon View is situated in the Crew’s Hole area of St George, just a short journey east of Bristol City Centre. The area is surrounded by several protected green areas such as Troopers Hill, Avon Woodland Trail and Conham River Park providing a pleasant setting that is not usually found so close to the city centre. Residents of this area are very close to the café’s, shops and restaurants of Wyatt’s View, whilst Church Road is also just a walk away. For commuters, the several areas of employment to the east of Bristol’s city centre, in the Temple Quay district are within reach, as well as the companies across the St Phillips Industrial Area. Bristol Temple Meads is also a short journey that opens up other cities within commuting distance. For those who work at home, superfast broadband has been installed in the area. Being on this side of the city also allows residents ease of access out to Bath either by car, train, bus or bike – for work or leisure and to some outstanding countryside around the east and south of Bristol.
This charming two bed home is situated in a peaceful cul-de-sac close to the river. The living room and dining room has made a great space for this young family, the wooden flooring and port hole windows are a lovely touch. The brand new kitchen opens out on to the rear garden which had new decking installed last year. The aspect of the home and the location of nearby homes means the garden is a sun trap. Upstairs has two good sized bedrooms and the family bathroom.
There is a garage as well as a driveway at the front of the home and plenty of parking for visitors.
