This was a home that impressed me from the moment I walked in the door. I could see straight away that the property was beautifully maintained and cared for by the vendors and has been decorated sympathetically to the character of the house. It offers some really great practical features including 2 bathrooms one being en-suite, a beautifully fitted kitchen and 2 receptions, the lounge having a cozy log burner. The lovely garden has a rustic outside cooking area ideal for entertaining and al-fresco dining. This is a house to be enjoyed and to 'just move in'.  So why not take the immersive 360 virtual tour and then book your early inspection

The property is an impressive and well-presented Edwardian semi-detached house, which provides well-proportioned accommodation and benefits from retaining many attractive period features as well as offering scope for enlargement, if required. The external elevations are brick beneath a tiled roof with double glazed windows.

The accommodation is arranged over two floors and includes on the ground floor, an entrance hall with an attractive moulded arch with original corbels, a good-sized sitting room with wood burner and a delightful bay window to the front, a dining room with period fireplace and French doors giving access to a terrace and rear garden. Both reception rooms have attractive exposed floor boards. There is also an extremely well appointed kitchen/breakfast room finished to a high standard, including granite work surfaces, Neff induction hob and Neff double oven, which includes an integrated steamer. On the first floor, there are three double bedrooms, the large master benefiting from a bay window and ensuite shower room, and a family bathroom with heated towel rail.

To the front of the property there is a pretty garden with an attractive path leading to a covered porch, and to the rear a landscaped garden and terrace, a useful brick-built store, a children's play area laid to bark and a barbeque area.

This is what the current owners had to say about their lovely home.

What attracted you to the property when you bought it ?

We fell in love with the character features of the property and still adore it. The bay windows and red brick look really attractive from the outside, on the pretty tree lined street. We stepped inside and saw this character continue inside. It has tall ceilings and fireplaces, We knew this was the perfect home to raise a family. The value of the location only grew over time, but knowing that the village had everything we needed was such a huge factor. With us sometimes needing to be in London for work, being this close to town was attractive. It is a very desirable street, so we pounced as soon as we saw it become available.

What improvements have you made to the house ?

We had a new boiler fitted approximately 2 years ago. The Wood burner in the living room (one of our favourite features) was replaced only last year and it’s amazing for warming the whole of the downstairs. We replaced the ensuite shower in the master bedroom and expanded that to have a toilet too, which makes it quite a show stopping space. The kitchen has been well cared for and was done to such a high specification, we have just maintained that - the induction hob is brand new. We have added our own touch to the place with decorating and new carpets. It’s been extremely well cared for, respecting the character of the property.

What have you enjoyed about living there ?

The village has everything you need. There are two amazing parks for the kids, great local schools, a library, a few places to grab coffee, a bakers, a butchers etc. It’s so easy to get into town, on foot or by bus. We have both needed to commute to London and this has felt easy. It is the best of both worlds, as there are also some lovely country walks straight from the house. If you look at the location on the map, we are surrounded by greenery. From Nellington woods, Happy Valley, Rusthall common to name a few.

The location of this house, on this particular part of the street is wonderful and we feel lucky to have lived here. We have enjoyed so many days in the garden with friends, which feels private as we are not overlooked. We are fortunate to have the kindest neighbours either side, we wish we could take them with us.

The kitchen is a beautiful space to be in. We love the contemporary feel to it. The cosiness of the living room in the winter, with the wood burner lit is heavenly.

Some random but notable footnotes:

There is a milkman

The plant at the front is a Wisteria which is beautiful when it blooms in the spring
